Digital park is trade link to China by Adeline Teoh Wednesday 9 December 2009 9:51 am
The Australian digital industry now has direct access to a Chinese digital park, thanks to a trade link through the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA).
, is government-approved and has been designed to support the development of digital businesses. The International Federation of Multimedia Associations (FIAM), with AIMIA on the FIAM board, is overseeing the park´s development.
This agreement established by AIMIA provides a vital new trade link between Australia and China, which we hope will become a catalyst for growth for our digital media industry. Australian creativity is respected worldwide and this agreement will allow it to be showcased to the Chinese market, said Guy Gadney, AIMIA president.
China is a complex marketplace and we believe the establishment of the Shenyang Digital Park will simplify expansion opportunities for our members, and provide significant collaboration opportunities between our two countries.
The park is scheduled for completion in 2011 and will use the Shanghai World Expo 2010 to leverage business connections.
